With the Smart SEO URL module for PrestaShop, you can handle many of the most tedious SEO tasks easily and quickly.
As you may already know, Prestashop still has many unfinished business in terms of SEO, especially when we want to customize some important data such as URLs, redirects or sitemaps among others. With this module you can do it without the need to write code or programming.
Below we show you the functionalities that this module has for PrestaShop and why it is essential in your Online store.
This module will allow you to configure certain keywords to optimize navigation through the hierarchy that you have established according to the levels of your categories, such as: mitienda.com/producto/mi_producto.html
URLs are vital to optimize the positioning of your online store. Well, now you will be able to optimize them by highlighting keywords, products, categories, manufacturers, suppliers, cms (content), breadcrumbs or whatever you need.
You no longer have to work with the cumbersome URLs that PrestaShop's own architecture offers you.
Eliminate the annoying ID's in the urls of your store. This function is for products, categories, manufacturers, CMS articles, etc.
An example of this functionality would be:
Old url: www.tutienda.com/23-smartphones
Url with Smart SEO URL: www.tutienda.com/smartphones
The module's own interface allows you to create 301, 302 and 303 redirects in a comfortable and easy way from the same module, very useful functionality when you have changed the structure of your store and some pages have new urls, this tool is essential to not lose the SEO done to date.
In addition, the module has a checker for repeated URLs so that you can correct them from the same module and thus avoid duplicate URL penalties in Google.
Create your own CRON and schedule the updates you need for two key aspects in your online store, such as sitemap and robots.txt.
You can enable and disable those categories, providers, CMS, pages or manufacturers that you want to include or leave out. This functionality is very useful, since it allows us not to include those URLs that for SEO reasons are better to leave out of the sitemap.
Generating a custom sitemap will make it easier for search engines to track your online store.
As you know, the robot generator that PrestaShop has as standard is somewhat limited, since it allows you to configure very few options.
With this new generator, you can easily add disallow rules from the module's interface and without having to manually modify the robots.
It is prepared with a "Translate" tab so that you can easily translate it to the language you want.
As you can see, there are many functionalities that this new module incorporates for your Online store.
Some friendly URLs and make it easier for search engines to crawl, will make you gain positions in the SERPs. This will get you to have a better positioning in search engines like Google.
